The conquest of our knowledge
entails the conquest of the consciousness of our ways of being. They are
connected with the scales of values we preserve in our interiority.
If we can set a value on our experiences, it is thanks to
such scales. Without them no form of knowledge would be
        possible. The true
value of experiences can be lived only
in private, inside one's own conscience. Every external,
verbal description of the values we live, represents a dim
and totally inadequate approximation of those values. For the
said reasons, it is not possible to accept, as actually
significant, those values that are defined outside our
conscience and drawn to our attention by means of
descriptions which do not find a resonance in ourselves. All
definitions which do not provoke us a resonance with our
scales of values, represent "dogmas" that will
never be able to enrich our interiority, nor help us understand
the meanings of Life. Therefore, only the experiences lived in full conscience and considered in comparison with our values, have a real meaning in Life. |
