Science policy collection

This is the Library’s most rapidly growing collection. The catalogue now contains over 10 000 science policy items in the form of books, journals and grey literature - consultation papers, committee reports, etc. - which can often be difficult to trace through conventional academic libraries and booksellers. Documents come from a variety of sources within the UK, EC and of international origin.

The collection focuses mainly on education, industry and the environment which are important areas of research for the Society.

There is a bimonthly bulletin called Science Policy Information (PDF file) which contains details of all recent acquisitions to this collection and press releases from Government departments which have been circulated to the Society. You can link to the most recent issue from this page.

The
Science, Technology and Innovation CD-ROM published by the British Library and updated half yearly, contains over 5000 references from the Science Policy Collection at the Royal Society and also references from other major databases such as SPRU (Science and Technology Policy Research) based at Sussex University.
